May 6, 2013 -  Minco Technology Labs hires Jeffrey Weiss as VP of Sales

Minco Technology Labs, LLC, a leading Die processing, Packaged Solutions and Test Services Manufacturer within the Hi-Reliability Marketplace, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Weiss as Vice President of Worldwide Sales. 

Weiss is a seasoned sales professional with a track record of delivering results.  His background includes sales and sales management roles in the semiconductor arena with responsibility for both the U.S. and Europe.  He started his sales career at Texas Instruments, and held management roles with Cypress Semiconductor, Aptos Semiconductor, and Exar Corp (formerly Sipex Corp).  Most recently he was a senior account manager with ANSYS, Inc.

“Jeff has a strong background in the semiconductor market, with specific experience selling into high reliability applications,” said Bill Bradford, CEO of Minco. “He is particularly effective at developing and executing strategic plans to penetrate target accounts and focused market segments.”

Weiss  holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

January 18, 2012 - Minco Technology Labs, LLC appoints Bill Bradford as President & CEO

Minco Technology Labs, LLC, a leading Die processing, Packaged Solutions and Test Services Manufacturer within the Hi-Reliability Marketplace, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Bradford as President & Chief Executive Officer.

Bradford has a proven track record of execution and leadership in the semiconductor industry and brings expertise in building organizations and developing channels, alliances and strategic partnerships for leading semiconductor companies including Entropic Communications, Freescale Semiconductor, ON Semiconductor, Cypress Semiconductor and Texas Instruments.

"Bill's history of successfully building and leading organizations and driving business domestically & internationally will be a tremendous asset to Minco’s growth strategy," said Keith Kolerus, Chairman of the Minco Board. "Bill brings a strong combination of experience and energy that will be instrumental as we expand our ability to serve the high reliability market."

Bradford has served on the board of Minco since May, 2010 and has over twenty five years of direct sales, sales management, marketing, and business development experience in the semiconductor industry. Most recently Bradford was the senior vice president of worldwide sales for Entropic Communications, where he oversaw the doubling of revenue over a two year period. Prior to this, Bradford held various executive positions at Freescale Semiconductor, most recently as senior vice president - Americas, sales and marketing and global distribution, where he improved sales force effectiveness and grew direct and channel sales through demand creation focused programs. Prior to Freescale Semiconductor, Bradford served as senior vice president, sales and marketing for ON Semiconductor, where he rebuilt the global sales and marketing team. Previously, Bradford spent over 10 years at Cypress Semiconductor in a variety of senior positions, including vice president of European sales and marketing. He began his semiconductor sales career with Texas Instruments.

Bradford holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Management from the University of Alabama.

Former CEO Don Potter, who has been with the company since 1982, served as president since 1991 & CEO since 2010, has announced his retirement and will be leaving the company effective January 20th.

July 1, 2011 - Minco Technology Labs, LLC enters into a worldwide JAN die distribution agreement with Aeroflex/Metelics Hi Rel Components

Aeroflex/Metelics Hi Rel Components has entered into a worldwide JAN die distribution agreement with Minco Technology Labs, LLC effective July 1, 2011. Under the terms of this agreement, Minco will represent Aeroflex/Metelics Hi Rel Components as its authorized distributor of JAN die including Zeners, Low Noise Zeners, Temperature Compensated Zeners, Switching Schottky, Current Regulators, Ultra-Fast Rectifiers and Diodes.

January 3, 2011 - Minco Technology Labs, LLC announces appointment of Vice President of Engineering

Minco Technology Labs, LLC, a leading Die processing, Packaged Solutions and Test Services Manufacturer within the Hi-Reliability Marketplace, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Harrison as Vice President of Engineering.  David brings extensive experience and a proven track record that encompasses 30+ years in multiple disciplines.  His broad background and experience is a welcomed addition to the Minco Team.

David will guide the development and growth of our Advanced Products group.  This product grouping will contain a high mix of multi-chip device definitions ranging in scope from Hybrid power products, memory arrays, up to and including System-In-Packages.

David’s extensive experience includes positions in engineering, operations, as well as, marketing and sales.  Prior to joining our Team, David was most recently with LOGIC Devices Inc, a Sunnyvale California company specializing in silicon IP for Numerically intensive applications where he lead their efforts to add Integrated Product Solutions to their product portfolio. 

 

September 13, 2010 - Minco Technology Labs, LLC announces appointment of new Chief Financial Officer

Minco Technology Labs, LLC, a leading Die processing, Packaged Solutions and Test Services Manufacturer within the Hi-Reliability Marketplace, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Dolmanet as Chief Financial Officer.  David joins Minco from Austin-based start-up CacheIQ, Inc. where he was co-founder and VP of Finance.  In his new role, Dolmanet will oversee day-to-day financial and administrative operations, as well as help drive strategic direction and investments for the private-equity backed company.

David’s extensive experience includes positions in Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Strategy/M&A, and Operations in both public corporations as well as venture-backed start-ups.  As a valuable addition to the executive team, he will focus the resources of his organization to help deliver on the company’s top initiatives of revenue and market growth as well as margin enhancement and cash generation.

 

May 2010 - Minco Technology Labs, Inc. acquired by Rockwood Equity Partners, LLC
RockWood Equity Partners has, in partnership with second generation founding family members and management, acquired the assets of Minco Technology Labs, Inc. ("Minco" or the "Company"). In connection with the investment Don Potter, President and founding family member, will assume the CEO position and founder Liz Coker will assume a position on the Board of Directors. The transaction will provide partial liquidity to the founding family and properly position Minco with additional human and financial capital for current growth plans.
